| SUBMISSION TO THE SELECT COMMITTEE ON THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT ACT 2002 Amendment BILL |
|
“This submission argues that the proposal to define ‘Core Services’ in the Local Government Amendment Bill removes incentives for innovative and collaborative local government practice. A key outcome could be for the Auckland Council to abandon its commitment to economic development and to a Social Policy Forum in Auckland. Value for money for ratepayers and taxpayers is best achieved through partnership and integrated service delivery”.
