Education for Enterprise (E4E) is an initiative that brings learning to life for students around the country. This approach to learning is one that is real, relevant and gives students responsibility for their learning.
In line with the New Zealand curriculum, E4E encourages schools and students to actively develop open partnerships with businesses and local communities. Students work alongside these businesses and community groups on specific projects that require them to produce tangible business materials such as website design and text, business plans, financial analyses etc. The partnerships allow students to consolidate classroom learnings, develop positive working relationships and see their projects come to life in an authentic and meaningful context.
By gaining a deeper understanding and awareness, students feel more motivated and better equipped to deal with the challenges they will face in the future.
E4E is a New Zealand Trade and Enterprise (NZTE) initiative, and is funded in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. For more information on implementing E4E initiatives in your school, or more general information on the programme please contact COMET.
