The Principal for a Day programme facilitates open, transparent one-on-one discussions between school leaders and their business counterparts, enabling each party is able to better understand and appreciate the other. The common denominator amongst these partnerships is that there are a multitude of ways in which businesses and schools can benefit and help one another. Principal for a Day provides an opportunity to discover them.
The programme first originated in New York and COMET brought it to New Zealand in 2002. Since then, over 450 New Zealand business and community leaders have taken part in this unique experience.
Previous participants have come from a diverse range of occupations; we have partnered schools with CEOs from industries including local government, banking, construction, telecommunications companies, journalists and more.
